Emily’s fascination with jewellery began when she was taking a stroll down the historical streets of Glastonbury and was captured by a Silversmith working away in his window. This ignited a desire to learn more about the traditional craft, so she signed up for a Silversmithing course and started to sell her handmade pieces at craft fayres. This is where Emily’s work caught the eye of a local Goldsmith’s wife, which led to a rare opportunity for a full traditional apprenticeship.
Since then, Emily has gained over 15 years of experience right at her fingertips, working for many prestigious jewellers around Berkshire and Oxfordshire, and has even taken her skills to Australia and New Zealand.
Growing up in the countryside, a love of travel and an appreciation of architecture has all provided Emily with the inspiration to create the perfect bespoke pieces for each of her clients.
Fable and Fabled offers an alternative to the traditional jewellery experience and specialises in bespoke commissions. This modern approach covers all styles from contemporary to traditional fine jewellery.
Emily takes great pride and joy in working on bespoke commissions to create a piece of jewellery that’s entwined with an event or story, which will be cherished for generations.
A legal requirement in the UK is to show an item’s origin, its purity and its genuineness. This is done with an Assay Hallmark. Emily is proud to have her own personal Assay Hallmark, which is on each and every piece she makes.
