How to Care for You Jewellery

  • I always recommend insuring your jewellery. You can do this by getting a quote from your home insurance or from a specialist jewellery insurance, like TH March.
  • Every year get your jewellery, especially your rings, checked by a trusted jeweller. They will check it over and may make adjustments so it’s in its best condition, so you can keep wearing and enjoying it.
  • Keep your jewellery clean so it carries on shining and sparkling. You can do this by taking it to a trusted jeweller for a professional clean, or you can do it at home by cleaning it in warm soapy water and using a soft brush and then a clean rinse. If you do this, always use a bowl and never your sink, in case it goes down the plug.
  • Always keep your items in a safe and secure place when you take them off. I strongly recommend you take off your jewellery for certain activities, especially your rings, when you’re cleaning, gardening, going to the gym or swimming.

How Do I Start My Jewellery Journey with You?

I specialise in bespoke handmade jewellery. This means I get to create a unique piece of jewellery for you, with you. There’ll be an initial consultation where we can talk through what you’d like and about your ideas for your piece. This could include pictures and drawings, which I can use to provide sketches to really bring it to life. This is a time for you to decide and choose what you really want and that’s the beauty of a bespoke piece.

Bespoke Sounds Expensive…?

Every one of my clients has a budget which I’m considerate of. A bespoke piece is likely to be more expensive than a Highstreet or online shop. But unlike most of these, you will get to speak and design directly with me. I provide a no-obligation quote before work begins, so you are fully aware of the costs, and we can always discuss options to keep to your budget.

How Long Does A Bespoke Piece Take to Make?

Usually around 6-8 weeks. This will always depend on the individual piece and its intricacy. Other factors that I may have no control over include sourcing the right metals and hand selecting the perfect diamonds or gemstones with you.

What Kind of Quality Can I Expect?

Everything is made in the UK and uses the finest materials. As everything is handmade it is as close to humanly perfect as possible, which is my clients choose me as they’re assured by the quality and craftsmanship. To make sure you’re happy with a piece, I can also offer a prototype for approval before the final piece is finished.

Are Your Materials Ethically Sourced?

Yes. All the metals, diamonds and gemstones I use are sourced through ethical and environmental procedures and suppliers, and the diamonds adhere to the Kimberly process.
